The encapsulated o-ring is a combination of the elasticity and sealing of rubber with the chemical resistance of Teflon. It is composed of silicone rubber or fluororubber on the inside and a relatively thin Teflon FEP or Teflon PFA on the outside. This rubber plus the Teflon o-ring will have excellent sealing properties.
